Product Fail: bliss Fabulips

Normally, I love bliss products. They are usually effective, although pretty pricey. So when I saw a Holiday set at Ulta containing Fabulips and a hand cream for $10, I grabbed it.

Fabulips is normally $16 and I'm so glad I didn't pay that! Oh how it dries my lips out! It doesn't last long and my lips look/feel worse for the wear each time I try it.

This may work for some people and you may love it, but for me it's a definite fail.

MAC Lipstick: Creme Cup

Creme Cup is a nude pink in the cremesheen formula. It's comfortable on the lips and I don't find it drying. Creme Cup is a great, everyday color and also works with smokey, 'going out' makeup too. It's a nice staple I have since its versatile.

NARS 500 Point Perk at Sephora

As most of you know, it's VIB sale time at Sephora through tomorrow. I was in to grab a couple items and was lucky to get the NARS 500 Point Perk. These are currently sold out online, but your store may still have them.

This comes in a super cute, black drawstring bag with the NARS logo. Inside you get a sample of the Pro Prime Pore Refining Primer, Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base, a small Velvet Gloss pencil in New Lover, and a small (size of a NARS single eyeshadow) Orgasm blush!

It's a really great perk if you can get your hands on it!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow: Rose Gold

Rose Gold is a beautiful, pinky gold. The formula is great; soft, pigmented, and doesn't have fallout. The shimmer is subtle and appropriate for day.

Bobbi Brown has some amazing shadow formulas and colors. Definitely worth checking out!

MAC Eyeshadow: Embark

Embark is a matte formula. Color wise, it's a warm, reddish brown. This has a nice, fairly soft texture. It's easy to apply and blend. The color payoff is excellent and not patchy at all. Matte formula shadows can be dry and stiff, but personally I find Embark easy to work with.

Urban Decay Super Saturated Gloss pencil: Naked

This gloss was released as part of the Fall 2012 collection, but was made permanent. It's a nice, natural color. Not too beige, not to pink. On me, it mostly adds shine as the color is pretty close to my lip color. I don't find if to have awesome lasting power, but didn't expect it too.

The biggest downfall, in my opinion, is that you will have to sharpen this. You will lose some product that way. These retail for $19.
