Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Mascara

I received this mascara as part of a set from QVC. this is probably my new favorite 'natural' looking mascara. It lengthens and volumizes, but does so while maintaining a natural look. It doesn't feel crunchy and (on me) doesn't smudge throughout the day.

While I do love some dramatic lashes, this is great paired with neutral/'no makeup' looks. It gives just enough 'oomph' to lashes while still looking natural. Love it!

Make Up Forever Face and Body foundation: mini Review

This is my newest foundation. It's a gel-liquid which you have to remember to shake before use. It has a really interesting texture, it comes out partially liquid/partially gel.

I don't use a brush to apply. My fingers do a better job with this texture. It stands up too hot, humid weather too!
Great foundation!

NYX Eyeshadow Base: Skin Tone

While searching for a less expensive eyeshadow primer/base at Ulta, I came across this little pot from NYX. I've used their Jumbo Pencils in the past and like them, do I thought it was worth a shot!

This shadow base comes in one color and it should work well on light to medium skin tones. It seems to block any discoloration in your lids and clings to shadows well. It does have a fairly sticky texture.

Overall, it does it's job and makes my shadows more vibrant and longer lasting. I'm not sure I like it better than my Tarte primer, but it's a nice option if you don't have much you spend!

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

I've had this for a couple weeks am let me tell you...it's LOVE! It offers more coverage than most tinted moisturizers and goes on like a dream. It has broad spectrum SPF 30. I honestly couldn't find a thing I don't like about this product (except maybe the price)!

It does have a slightly citrusy scent, but it fades quickly after application. I have the lightest shade, Finland, and it blends into my NW 20 skin nicely.

It is pricey at $42....but a nice splurge!

Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer

I purchases the Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer a while ago, but really haven't used it much. I grabbed the second lightest of the shades; thought it was called Light, but I can't find a shade on the tube.

This is one of those twist up, clicky pens that you love or hate. I am not a fan. I always get way to much product and waste so much goes to waste. I do like that the barrel is clear so you can see how much product is left.

This concealer has an odd consistency. It's not a thinner cream, it's not a mousse. It's thicker and feels a bit dry. The shade I have isn't great for my skin tone; it has way to much pink in it. It does nothing for my dark circles.

I do like to use this as just a highlighter. It's nice to brighten a bit under the eye, over your regular concealer. It looks nice as an inner corner highlight as well.

MAC Heavenly Creatures: Last of the Haul

I posted my Heavenly Creatures haul yesterday, but accidentally left out my last two items.

I purchased the lipstick in Cusp of Dawn. This is a peachy, pink, beige with a lustre finish. It's a nice nude that doesn't make your lips overly beige and make them blend with your face.

I also purchased the Mineralize Skinfinish in Center of the Universe. It's a reddish orange coral with gold shimmer.

I haven't had time to really test these yet, but will try and get reviews up soon!

MAC Haul: Heavenly Creatures

I just have a haul post for you! MAC released the Heavenly Creatures Mineralize collection on counters today and it's a beautiful one! I know it was released online a week or so ago, but I always want to see products in person before I purchase them. On to the haul!

I picked up 2 of the 5 (?) lipsticks. I grabbed Cut A Caper and Pleasureseeker. Now, all of the lipsticks released are either Lustre or Glaze finishes. These are can be built up, but aren't totally opaque in one pass. Cut A Caper is a repromote from the Tartan Tale Holiday 2010 collection. It's a gorgeous pinky coral and will sell out quickly! Pleasureseeker is the lone glaze finish and it's a lovely peachy coral. Swatches in photos are l-r: Cut A Caper and Pleasureseeker.

The collection also has 5 Cremesheen Glasses. I only got one; an almost raisin tinged nude called Strictly Plutonic. It will be great for fall!

I also got my first Mineralize Skinfinish I Star Wonder. This has shades of plum, pink and gold swirled together...beautiful!

Out of the 9 (?) Mineralize eyeshadows, I picked up 2. The purple, brown, olive-gold swirled Universal Appeal will be lovely going into fall. I also got Magnetic Attraction. This one is a reddish, yellow, gold swirled beauty.

I can't wait to give these a try and get reviews up! This is a great collection with a lot of gorgeous products!

Photos below are: Star Wonder Mineralize Skinfinish, Cut A Caper and Pleasureseeker lipsticks, Universal Appeal eyeshadow, Strictly Plutonic Cremesheen, Magnetic Attraction eyeshadow.

Take A Deep Breath

Take A Deep Breath is a new facial moisturizer from Philosophy. It's a gel cream hybrid which means it feels very light on the skin. It has no fragrance, which is a nice feature for those of us with sensitivities. It says it has antioxidants to help protect the skin from environmental damage. It's oil free and does not have SPF.

I really love this moisturizer! It feels amazing and I feel like my skin looks better. It sinks in quickly and doesn't leave skin feeling greasy. I only use this at night since there is no SPF.

It retails for $34. I bought mine at Sephora.
