MAC Lipstick: Amorous

Amorous was a lippie suggested to me by one of my fave make up artists at my local counter. I was looking for something out of my comfort zone and suitable for Fall. Amorous is it!

Amorous is a great burgundy color. It's a satin formula, so it's opaque in one swipe. I tend to layer it over balm to tone it down just a bit. It looks awesome with a neutral/nude eye and a bit of winged liner.

I don't find the satin formula drying or particularly moisturizing. Overall, Amorous is comfortable to wear and is a great color for Fall!

Tarina Tarantino: Eye Dream Highlight Duo Jasper/Agate

I have seen awesome reviews for a lot of Tarina Tarantino products in the last couple of years and finally took the plunge with this duo.

Jasper is a slightly purple toned gray. Agate is a taupe-y beige. Both of these colors have great payoff and apply nicely. The powder is very soft, so be careful to not pick up too much product!

Sephora is not going to be carrying these too much longer and they are currently on sale! Grab one up if you see them!

MAC Old Gold Pigment

I love gold shadows. I like complex colors. I love me some duo chromes. Old Gold gives me all three!

Old Gold is a loose pigment, so it can get a bit messy. It works best with some sort of mixing medium. (I use a bit of Fix+ to wet my brush). It wears nicely with a primer.

Old Gold is an dark, antiquey gold with green duo chrome. Applied dry, it creates a nice wash of color. Used wet, it really comes to life.

Anastasia Hydrafull Gloss Duo: Alias and Guava

I saw this Hydrafull duo on a recent trip to Ulta. I'm not sure, but this may have been a Spring release... Anyway, I had never tried these glosses and at $18 for two full sized products, I thought I'd give them a go.

These are to nude colors. Alias is a 'matte' gloss (according to the package, not sure that makes sense). Guava is a tad pinker/darker and has shimmer. Pretty colors and nice to throw on in a pinch.

The formula is, well....so tacky. It feels thick going on, but that isn't a gloss deal breaker for me. I didn't find the wear time to be great and as it wears off it leaves your lips feeling so sticky.
I found that to be pretty unpleasant. I can't say that I wouldn't purchase these again, but the colors would have to really appeal to me!

Preview! Sephora's Give Me Some Lip gift set

I picked up this set today and haven't gotten much of a chance to try all the lip products yet. I wanted to put up a couple quick pics as I'm sure it will sell fast!

This set has 6 products from Sephora's own line, Laura Mercier, Tarte, Hourglass, Bite, and Fresh. Not bad for $25!

MAC Plushglass: Powersupply

I am a lipgloss addict. There. I've said it. I have a hard time passing up lip stuff.

MAC lip products are some of my absolute favorites. They come on so many formulas, finishes, and colors. Plushglass is probably my favorite MAC lipgloss formula. It's not as thick/sticky as lipgloss; it wears longer than cremesheen glasses do. It doesn't have the gritty texture as Dazzleglass. That being said, it is a plumper so there is some tingle. I don't find it to be that intense, but some may find it uncomfortable.

Powersupply is an excellent Fall color. It's a burgundy with gold shimmer. It goes on semi sheer, but can be layered for more opaque color. I don't see any plumping of my lips, but that doesn't bother me.

MAC Fluidline: Local Wares

Local Wares was released as part of the Fall 2012 Styleseeker collection. It's a blackened olive green with bronze sparkle.

Fluidlines are one of my favorite gel liners. They wear like iron and (usually) have awesome color payoff. Local Wares is no exception. It looks lovely with a simple, nude eye. It makes for a great alternative to black in a cat eye. It's really quite versatile. If you can find it, grab it up!

Sorry for slightly blurry photo; sparkle makes my camera freak!
